"In general relativity, an event horizon is a boundary in spacetime beyond which events
cannot affect an outside observer. In layman's terms it is defined as "the point of no
return" i.e. the point at which the gravitational pull becomes so great as to make escape
impossible...." This is how Wikipedia defines the concept of an event horizon
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Event_horizon. Article accessed April 18, 2011).
The Great Event Horizon that all of creation awaits is the return of Christ. All of history
is driving toward that point. The gravitational pull of the Lord's return
and the consummation of all things is the subject matter of this section.
You may call it End Time Events, or Eschatology, or Latter Days, or Whatever else you choose.
You may be a part of some particular persuasion regarding the events surrounding Christ's
soon return. You may have heard of, or even consider yourself to be, a premillenialist, or
a postmillenialist, or an amillenialist, a pre-trib, or post-trib rapturist, or not a
believer in the rapture at all. You may believe in a future Great Tribulation, or may
be a preterist who says the tribulation took place in 70 AD. You may or may not believe in
the future literal reign of Christ on earth from Jerusalem, with Israel and the Church
ruling the nations. You may or may not even believe in the resurrection of the dead and
their consequent eternal judgment or blessing.
All of these subjects are the theme of this section of my site. I hope I can answer more
fully some of your questions, or even challenge you with some that you had not yet thought.
Our event horizon is pulling us inevitably to that point in history from which none will escape:
the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. Are you ready for the
one great Event that looms even now on the horizon? Then you can say with me
Come Quickly, Lord Jesus!
